What makes a good cot? It sets up easily, it stays firm when I lie on it, it takes down easily. This is a good cot. But - it's not for campers who walk more than a couple hundred feet - it's heavy. So is the traditional, wood and canvas military cot I liked in the army - where it rode behind me in the jeep.
Don't worry about the end bars breaking or having to use a mallet to get them off. On each bar there's an instruction label which explains how to get the bar off - easily. I think the people who had trouble were trying to pull it off, thought it was too tight and took a hammer to it. When you put it together, you'll see how it works. The bar slides down over the pins and locks in place. It must be pulled UP to remove it - one side at a time.

Great Deal, I live in my mom's Living room and it's great to fold right up and stash in my cubicle I own. I use it everyday and at first I did wake up with a few back aches, But no more and it could have been because the last 3 years I slept on carpet. Worth the money:)

This is a beautiful cot and every camper needs one. The material is very comfortable and strong. It is lightweight and extremely portable. The set up and take down is as easy as 123. I have no problems with this product and give it 5 stars.

I own two of these for guests who come to stay. They are very comfortable especially if you use a small comforter as padding to lie on. They are a little difficult to snap together cos the pieces fit together so snugly. I always need assistance but wouldn't be without these beds.
