1 out of 5 stars Melted mine   February 21, 2010

I just melted mine on a wood-burning fire. If you plan to use your mess kit on a campfire, look elsewhere.

4 out of 5 stars Cheap, Ultralight, functional BUT will Dent   November 3, 2009

This is a great set for UL backpacking at less then 8oz. When i go solo I just take the pot with lid which is less then 3 oz. Make sure to get a pot grabber (3$, 1oz) to pull the put off the fire b/c otherwise you'll tip it over or get burned. It dented in my pack, and the detachable handle isn't sturdy enough to remove the pan when full of water/food (bends) but hey, its 7 bucks! Still haven't found anything as light for a reasonable price so i'm sticking with this. Very pleased.

3 out of 5 stars Fits in pack   October 30, 2009

Purchased for backpack addition. The pros are very light weight, compact and fits together good. Cons the cup will burn your lip with hot liquids and the pot tips when picked up by handle. Top and bottom are the most useful. For the price you can not lose.

3 out of 5 stars It's Ok   April 12, 2009

It's exactly as advertised. Will work for one person. I wish it were a little more sturdy though.

5 out of 5 stars I love this kit   February 9, 2009

I like this product allot. It has every thing you need to have a nice meal in the wilderness. The plate is great because I dump my rehydrated meals onto it so I don't get my hands dirty digging the food out of the bag. Also the cup is nice because If I want Hot cocoa during the day I can put it right onto my Esbit stove. I use a piece of aluminum foil as a lid, it works well. Some may complain that the cup will burn you but that a warning that your drink is too hot all in all it is a great kit That I always have with me in the woods.
